LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman died after a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Eastern Parkway.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department, said officers responded around 3:30 p.m. to a crash on Eastern Parkway at Barret Avenue.
Police said a vehicle was headed east on Eastern Parkway and attempted to make a left turn onto Barret Avenue. A woman traveling west on Eastern Parkway crashed into the vehicle.
That caused the woman's vehicle to crash into another vehicle stopped at the red light on Barret Avenue.
The woman, who was headed west on Eastern Parkway, was taken to U of L Hospital and died. The drivers of the two other vehicles weren't injured.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating.
