CORYDON, Ind. (WDRB) -- Indiana DNR Officers and the National Cave Rescue Commission [NCRC] have located seven, adult cavers who went missing in the Binkley Cave System in Harrison County near Corydon.

According to DNR officers, the cavers were in the cave conducting a 15-hour survey and are 12 hours overdue to return from the cave on Sunday.

All seven cavers were escorted from the cave and treated for hypothermia and exposure early Monday.

Conservation Officers say high water levels hindered search efforts in the area where the group was surveying.

Officials say the cavers are experienced and knew what to do when dealing with flooding.

Multiple agencies assisted with the search, including the Harrison County Emergency Management, Harrison County EMS, Harrison Township Fire Department, the American Red Cross, NCRC, National Speleological Society (NSS) and other volunteers.
