LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some Indiana state parks are going to be closed for deer hunts soon.

Charlestown, Spring Mill and Brown County in southern Indiana are among those that will be closed for hunts meant to control the deer population and make sure there is a habitat for plants and other animals.

The first hunt is next Monday and Tuesday. Another hunt follows on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

Only hunters chosen from a draw can take part.
