SLIDESHOW: A tour of The Mansion at Churchill Downs!

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Mansion -- an exclusive new venue at Churchill Downs -- is opening its doors, and WDRB's very own Valerie Chinn got a look inside, just in time for Oaks Day and the Kentucky Derby!

From Derby hats hanging from the ceiling to an elaborate bar, there are all kinds of amenities inside The Mansion and ticket prices started at $7,000 per person.

Located on the 6th floor of the Clubhouse in an area that was formerly the track's media center, you'll find couches everywhere to lounge in and a perfect view of the races.

Darren Rogers, the Churchill Downs Spokesman says, "The pricing up here at The Mansion, ticket prices cost $7000 that includes both Oaks and Derby Day. They can go up to $12,500 the price point depends on the number of tickets bought."

A nine million dollar capital renovation transformed this floor and other areas of the track. The Mansion seats 320 people and is sold out.

Just to buy tickets, there was a screening process. But Churchill Downs won't name names on who will be up there this weekend. Rogers says, "It's safe to say that we have a great mix of some business leaders, some CEO's and some high profile celebrities."

Tickets include all you can drink and eat. Sarah Jayne who was a Top Chef Finalist last year will be doing some cooking from around the world.  She says she'll make roasted sea scallops with pork belly and Vietnamese lime sauce."

Ryan Jordan, the General Manager of Churchill Downs says, "The theme of this venue is past meets present. So ,you've got a great historical venue here and we wanted to bring it up to modern times."

There is artwork everywhere, including a unique piece. Dress art at the doorway is made of Kentucky license plates.

Churchill Downs says the guests here will enjoy lavish ambience, panoramic views and personalized services.

The Mansion is only open on Oaks and Derby Days.
