LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some people forced out of their New Albany homes could be allowed to move back in as soon as this weekend.
More than 150 people had to leave the Riverview Towers earlier this week after a series of fires shut off the power.
Interim Director of Public Housing David Duggins said a temporary fix has the power back on for several floors, and he hopes people on those floors will be able to move back in Sunday.
The air conditioning still isn't working, so each unit will be given a portable A/C unit.
Duggins said it will take about a month to permanently fix the power.
