LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Drivers in Floyd County, Indiana, will soon need to slow down on a busy throughfare.

The speed limit on U.S. 150 will be reduced starting on or after Friday, Feb. 27, in Floyds Knobs, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The speed limit on U.S. 150 from the Interstate 64 interchange to Stiller Road will be reduced from 50 to 45 mph. The speed limit from Stiller Road to Everett Avenue on U.S. 150 will decrease from 50 to 40 mph. 

INDOT said the speed reduction is to "enhance safety and align with the corridor's overall traffic flow."
