LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- People in Old Louisville celebrated spring during an annual festival on Saturday.

Springfest was held at Toonerville Trolley Park on South Brook Street. It is hosted annually by the Toonerville Trolley Neighborhood Association.

Local vendors had goods for sale and there was live music at the neighborhood festival.

This year's festival was held in conjunction with the Filson Historical Society's 140th anniversary celebration. Each year, nearly 10,000 people attend the celebration. It's the neighborhood's biggest fundraiser.

"We want to bring everyone together from all over the city down to enjoy beautiful Old Louisville but we love our community here and we want to be sure that folks regardless of where they come from or where they are at during the week, that they have a place to come for the weekend and feel like home," said Elyssa Smith, Spring Fest chair.

There was also a beer garden, bourbon slushies, food trucks and a kid's zone.
