GLENDALE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thousands of people attended the 44th Glendale Fall Festival on Saturday.
A crowd of about 20,000 to 30,000 is average for the festival. This year, they had about 600 arts and craft booths registered to attend.

Some mark their calendars early and drive hours to get to the one-day-a-year event, but many of the visitors are local.
"We spent some time in here and got a couple of really neat antiques and some fun jewelry and stuffed the animals," said Dana LaJon.
LaJon and her family look forward to the festival every year. This year, they made two trips from Elizabethtown to fit it all in.
"I don't remember going all the way up to the church, like it was all the way close down up to the church. They're were stands everywhere all the way back that way too. So it's nice to see it getting bigger and growing. That's exciting. I just wish they would extend it to more than one day. There is just so much good stuff to see and some people work on the weekends," LaJon said.
Saturday's festival took place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The parade started at 10 a.m. They had places nearby to park.
Families can expect food and face painting, too. Many booths have Christmas wreaths and childrens clothing and accessories.
The Glendale Fall Festival takes place every third Saturday in October, just two miles west of Interstate 65 South in Hardin County.
