LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Two years ago Saturday, two men were murdered and now their families are still looking for answers.
Antoine Ellis' family held a candlelight vigil Saturday night.
They are remembering the father of two young girls who was found shot to death in an alley near 39th Street in the Shawnee neighborhood.
About an hour later, his friend Deshone Johnson was found shot to death near a house on Bank Street.
Ellis' family says until his murder is solved, they will continue to come to this alley every year on the day of his death.
"I think it's a shame that the people responsible for this are still walking around living their life but we don't have Antoine here to be with us right now, and I think it's just sad," says Ellis' mother Tammy Porter.
"For him to die the way he did and left in this alley like garbage... It's terrible, we do, we really miss him," says Ellis' grandmother Kathryn Gaines.
The family believes the shootings were related and that whoever killed Ellis may have known him.
They're asking that anyone with information on the case to call the anonymous police tipline at 574-LMPD.
