LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An 8-month-old boy who police say was beaten to death will be remembered Friday night. A vigil for Leelan Crain will be held at 7 p.m. at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
The vigil begins with a balloon liftoff, then a candlelight ceremony. There will also be a bike run Saturday in Campbellsburg, Ind. to help with funeral costs.
Leelan's mother Casey Crain and her boyfriend Jamie Lykins were charged with neglect. Lykins is also charged with battery resulting in death.
Organizers say any extra money will be donated to United Care USA which helps with child abuse prevention.
