LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — There are just 101 days until the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, and the Wanamaker Trophy is making its own tour around the city.Â
The Wanamaker Trophy is awarded to the winner of the PGA Championship. The trophy has been around since 1916, named after Rodman Wanamaker, the department store owner who formed the PGA of America.Â
Friday, it made a stop at the Omni Hotel in downtown Louisville. There are two more chances to see the trophy in person — next Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Louisville's Topgolf from 4-6 p.m. and next Thursday, Feb. 8, at the KFC Yum! Center from 5-7 p.m. during the UofL women's basketball game.
The 2024 PGA Championship runs from May 13-19.Â
