LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Louisville's Highview neighborhood Monday night.
Louisville Metro Police responded about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 6600 block of S. Hurstbourne Parkway on a report of a pedestrian struck, department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said. That's near S. Watterson Trail.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman who had been hit. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived on scene, Ellis said.
The woman was transported to UofL Hospital "with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries," Ellis said.
Ellis said police are investigating why the woman was in the road, and that the vehicle and driver stayed at the scene.
