BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) -- A small community in Breckinridge County is mourning the loss of a man and his child in a fiery crash over the weekend.

Hunter Lyons, 22, and his 1-year-old daughter died in the crash Saturday afternoon on KY-261 in Breckinridge County.

Kentucky State Police said Joseph Maynard, 48, of Owensboro was driving a truck down the road around 5:10 p.m. CDT when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the center line and hit a truck head-on. Both vehicles became engulfed in flames.

Maynard, Lyons and Lyons' daughter, Oakleigh, were pronounced dead at the scene. According to a Facebook post from a friend, Lyons' wife was flown to UofL Hospital with burn injuries.

Posts on social media show Hunter and Macey Lyons just got married earlier this month in Hawesville.

A family friend has created a Venmo account to raise money for the family as Macey Lyons recovers from her injuries. To donate, find @lakensummitt on Venmo.
