LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Santa Firetruck in Zoneton was unveiled Wednesday night at Station One on North Preston Highway.
In its 29th year, this year's theme is Honoring Our Heroes, which includes both the military and first responders.
Every Christmas season, firefighters with the Zoneton Fire Department drive the Santa truck around town to spread some holiday cheer.
"This is one of the best public relations that we do," Kevin Moulton, Zoneton Fire Chief, said. "This is a way that we can give back to our community and say 'thank you.' We can't do anything without the support of our community."
You'll have a chance to catch up with Santa during Lowe's Night on Dec. 9, and at the final meetup on Sunday, Dec. 21 from 6-9 p.m. at the Paroquet Springs Center in Shepherdsville.
The department posted its street-by-street schedule and answers to frequently asked questions online.
