Under the ordinance, wearing masks and face coverings in public is prohibited.
The original ordinance was enacted in 1983, but was not enforced during the pandemic.
An amendment to Louisville Metro's current mask ordinance would clarify that there are no exceptions for law enforcement agencies like ICE.
