School resource officer in JCPS school

JCPS is debating the issue, but Ben Wilcox, the state’s new school security marshal, told WDRB News it should not be a question.

The petition says there have been too many fights in the first two weeks of school for anyone to feel safe.

Clayton Elliott, who served as an SRO for five years at two different JCPS Schools, believes every school should have an officer to help the kids inside, and to deal with intruders outside.
