The Kentucky Humane Society is pleading for help as its shelter reaches capacity.

KHS officials say the main adoption center on Steedly Drive will be closed until at least Dec. 18. 

The proposed legislation would allow animal control officers to press charges for more case they deem as "torture."

If you're cold outside, your pets probably are too. That's the message from both the Kentucky Humane Society and Louisville Metro Animal Services.

Kentucky Humane Society officials said although Ethan has a "long road ahead of him," they are optimistic that he will fully recover.

Vets on Sunday said they were "cautiously optimistic that he may survive this."

The Kentucky Humane Society says while there is an increase in people wanting to adopt pets during the pandemic, there are still concerns about pets being surrendered as people face hardships.
