Two students, Preston Cope and Bailey Holt, were killed and 14 other students were injured on January 23, 2018.

It will help preserve letters, cards and gifts sent to the school so survivors can continue to use them for emotional support. 

Gabe Parker, the teenager who admitted to opening fire inside a Kentucky school in 2018, killing two students, was sentenced Friday to life in prison.

Parker confessed to police less than an hour after the shooting.

The lawsuits are on hold until the criminal trial concludes.

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin called Wednesday a sobering day, but also a day of celebration.
