When Bonnie Jarvis turns on her faucet, she never knows what she's going to get.

The company says customers should only be inconvenienced for a day or two when flushing occurs in a specific neighborhood. 

Indiana American Water announced Monday it's working on designing a new treatment plant to improve water quality for customers in Charlestown.

This is not a first for the people who live there. 

Mayor Treva Hodges said she knows it is frustrating, but the flushing is expected to help get rid of the brown water until long-term improvements are completed.
