The Louisville Collaboration to Prevent Child Abuse, Youth and Family Violence was awarded a $2 million federal appropriations grant.

The Indiana lawmaker toured Family & Children's Place Jeffersonville and its Child Advocacy Center with the nonprofit's CEO Pam Darnall on Wednesday.

One Louisville organization has a special tool to help heal children who are hurting.

"Anytime any of those dollars have to be reduced, it's a significant challenge for all of us," the CEO of one non-profit said.
