LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said officers were called to the 9000 block of Dixie Highway around 5:40 a.m. on initial reports of a shooting.

Officers responded just after midnight to the shooting in the 6500 block of Hackel Drive, near Lower Hunters Trace.

The woman was believed to be in her 20s.

Police were sent to the 600 block of South 11th Street on reports of a shooting around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. 

Police were sent to the 900 block of S. Preston Street on a ShotSpotter run after gunfire was detected in the area. 

Officers were called to the 2300 block of Grand Avenue around 9 p.m. on a reported shooting. That's near South 23rd Street, not far from Victory Park.

Louisville Metro Police released a sketch Wednesday of the suspect accused of raping an elderly woman last month inside a home in Hurstbourne Acres.

Amanda Miller was shot and killed in May 2023 in a parking lot on East Broadway. 

LMPD said the community is fed up with the number of shootings.
