LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a teenage girl was shot early Monday morning in south Louisville.

According to LMPD, officers were called to the area of Oleanda Avenue and 7th Street Road around 2:06 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was taken to University Hospital with injuries that appear to be non-life-threatening, police said.

No suspects have been identified, and investigators have not released details about what led to the shooting.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation.
