Some overnight lane closures in downtown Louisville start Wednesday night as part of the Interstate 65 Central Corridor project.

Several interstate ramps are closing in Louisville to get ready for I-65 shutting down this summer to replace aging bridges.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the left and center lanes will be closed to complete work on joint repairs between East Broadway and the Kennedy Bridge. 

Sections of River Road will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through July 21.

Street closures were released for the Mayor's Hike, Bike & Paddle that returns Memorial Day in downtown Louisville.

The first race of the annual running series, the 5K, starts at 8 a.m. at Slugger Field at Brook and East Market streets in downtown Louisville.
