According to a news release from the Indiana Department of Health, Dr. Kris Box noticed symptoms Monday night, and tested positive through a rapid test Tuesday morning.
The state has averaged 454 new infections in the past seven days, compared with 549 per day over the previous week, according to Indiana State Department of Health data.
New data shows that 13.9% of Hoosiers tested for the illness were diagnosed with it. That's down more than a percentage point from last Tuesday (15.2%) and more than five percentage points in the past month.
