Scott, her daughter and activist Shamika Parrish-Wright claim officers violated their constitutional rights and inflicted "severe emotional distress."
Many of those interviewed Tuesday said they left encouraged.
A church clergyman said the church had reached an agreement with the Louisville Metro Police Department that protesters would be asked to leave the church at 11 p.m. and will have 45 minutes to clear out.
Scott and her daughter were charged with first-degree rioting, a Class D felony, failure to disperse and unlawful assembly, according to LMPD.
