JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. (WDRB) — Jennings County Schools canceled classes Wednesday after heavy overnight rainfall caused extensive flooding on county roads.
School officials initially assessed conditions Wednesday morning before announcing that classes would be canceled for Aug. 12.
“Daylight has revealed extensive flooding on county roads following heavy overnight rainfall, and additional rain is expected throughout the day,” the district said in its announcement on Facebook.
The district said a make-up day will be announced at a later time.
