A southern Indiana man is behind bars after leading police on a chase that ended in Spencer County.
On Monday, the Interstate 64 westbound lanes on the top deck of the bridge closed for nine days.
The female died in the highway between the Lanesville exit and the Crandall/Lanesville Road overpass.
The bridge closed Friday afternoon "until further notice."
Officials cleared the scene and reopened the upper deck around midnight.
The extended closure will prepare for Phase 4 of the renewal project.
The westbound lane on the top deck was closed over the weekend for repairs.
Delays are expected, and drivers are being asked to find alternate routes when possible.
Trimarc said the crash involving three vehicles happened just before 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
The closure was supposed to last nine days.
