LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An overturned semitruck shut down the upper deck of the Sherman Minton Bridge for several hours on Thursday evening.

According to TRIMARC, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. It was on Interstate 64 West approaching the bridge in Jefferson County.Â
John Bradley, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said the driver was trying to change lanes to get on the bridge and flipped onto its side. It was the only vehicle involved and no one was injured.
Officials cleared the scene and reopened the upper deck around midnight.
