Four years after his untimely death at the age of 62, former Churchill Downs vice president of racing communications John Asher will headline a six-person class for induction into the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame.
Asher, known as “Mr. Derby,” will join Dr. Jack Britt, a leader in agriculture and education; and Travis Hudson, coach of the Lady Topper Volleyball team, in the 29th class of distinguished alumni.
