There's a statewide push to keep phones from Kentucky's classrooms, but some parents have concerns. 

The Kentucky Board of Education rejected the firing of Nelson County Schools Superintendent Wes Bradley, saying in a written statement Friday that there wasn't "competent and relevant evidence" supporting at least one of the charges against him. 

On Thursday, the Kentucky Board of Education said Dr. Robbie Fletcher would be appointed the chief state school officer and chief executive officer for the Kentucky Department of Education.

The board's interview committee voted to recommend Buddy Berry, Robbie Fletcher and Jim Flynn as finalists on March 8.

KBE said the goal is to have a new commissioner of education in place by July 1.
