From out-of-towners to locals, the Derby brought out the horses and the fashion, with everyone decked out in their finest race-day attire.

For the second time in five Kentucky Derby runnings, it's time to write a story about a scratched favorite. There's almost nothing to say, because the disappointment of competition is so great, but the respect for safety must be greater.

About 40 planes have arrived so far at Bowman Field. Some people have made their way to Louisville from Texas. They're expecting about 120 more before Derby day on Saturday.
