The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced Tuesday the section of Main Street between between Wenzel and 2nd streets will convert to two-way traffic by the end of this week. 

Gov. Andy Beshear said Louisville drivers won't have to deal with another full Interstate 65 shutdown next summer, even though the next phase of the project had been expected to require one.

State transportation officials are seeking public input on a new effort to improve traffic flow, safety and connectivity in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood.

The off-ramp to Jefferson Street from Interstate 65 South in downtown Louisville will be temporarily closed this weekend.

Drivers who use the Kennedy Bridge should brace for a longer detour.

The lanes will close the evening of Friday, Nov. 7, as crews continue work on a bridge joint replacement project.

Drivers should follow restrictions and use caution while going through the work zone.

Public feedback will be accepted until June 13, 2025.
