LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet wants the public's input on a proposed road project in southern Jefferson County.
Due to the development in the area, transportation officials want to improve safety and traffic flow on Bardstown Road (U.S. 31E) between Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and Hillock Drive.
The proposed plan includes:
- Adding a right turn lane at Ichabod Drive
- Installing a raised median from Major Lane to Hillock Drive
- Adding a right-turn only lane at Hillock Drive
- Construction of a left turn/U-turn at the intersection of Bardstown Road and Brentlinger Lane
- Adding a right turn lane at Bartley Drive
- Adding a right turn free flow lane from I-265 East off-ramp to Bardstown Road
Citizens are encouraged to share their input by completing a survey, which can be found here. Public feedback will be accepted until June 13, 2025.
All feedback will be compiled and considered during the final design phase.
