Fire officials were called to the 7200 block of Alameter Court around 2:45 a.m. on reports of a structure fire with a rescue.

A female died after a fire broke out at an apartment in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood on Saturday morning.

Trellis Brewing in Louisville's Smoketown neighborhood will be hosting the fundraiser for Christian Smith's family on Aug. 20. 

Smith was 35 years old. He had been with Anchorage Middletown Fire since 2014 and was assigned to Rescue Company 33.
