The Louisville Fire Department celebrated 22 firefighters Wednesday who were recently promoted.
First responders enjoyed lots of burgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies and much more.Â
There will be hundreds of first responders spread out in the Ohio River, on land, and in the sky for Thunder Over Louisville.
The training course is held twice a year and is open to other departments around the area.
They are the men and women who swear to serve and protect Louisville's community and Saturday they received some well-deserved recognition.
