A 30-year-old man is facing attempted murder and assault charges after police said he attacked another man with a cleaver knife in what investigators describe as a targeted assault.

According to police, a 16-year-old boy was taken into custody in connection with the stabbing.

According to Louisville Metro Police, officers responded to the 500 block of West Ormsby Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 26 "on an investigation."

According to her citation, she was in a verbal argument with the man and it turned physical.

A man was stabbed to death in Pleasure Ridge Park early Sunday morning.

Louisville Metro Police officers were called to the Colonial Oaks Apartments, off Southside Drive and Colonial Oaks Court, at 2:38 p.m. Friday on the reported stabbing.

Police determined two men had gotten into an "altercation" Friday morning when Yosvani Gonzales Diaz, 28, allegedly stabbed the other man.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of Liberty Bell Way just after 4 a.m. on a call to assist EMS.

The stabbing happened on March 23 in the 300 block of N. 27th Street.

Police said a man was taken to UofL Hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.
