A white flag shelter has opened in Shepherdsville for people looking for a place to warm up.

According to Cooke, Bullitt County is one of the largest counties in the state without a homeless shelter and the only county surrounding Louisville without one

The shelter, run by Mark 12 Ministries, opened its doors Wednesday as a warming shelter during the day. 

Now a local group is trying harder than ever to get that turned around given that the county has no other options.
