The loss of power means many people lost all the food in their refrigerators.

Dare to Care sent out its mobile food pantry on Monday to support people who were forced to toss out their food due to loss of power.

The local nonprofit will have a mobile pantry Monday and Tuesday with fresh produce and non-perishables.

Publix Super Markets Charities is $3.85 million to 22 Feeding America member food banks, including Dare to Care in Louisville.
