BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Tours of the Corvette assembly plant are set to resume for the first time in about five years, officials said.
The park will stay open during construction, which should wrap up in early 2024.
Museum officials said the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, is serving as the design inspiration for the gallery.
The exhibit "Hot Wheels: Race to Win" will be at the National Corvette Museum from May 28 through Sept. 25.
There is no set date for completion of the proposed project. The museum is still gathering funds and is asking for donations.
A three-day celebration is planned Aug. 29-31 for more than 10,000 Corvette owners.
