Children with cancer and their families in Louisville are getting more help.
Families spending the holidays at Norton Children's Hospital can still experience the joys of gift-giving.

The event has raised more than $2.8 million and benefited nearly 215,000 children annually around Kentucky and southern Indiana.
Norton Children's ceremonially cut the ribbon Wednesday on a new center at Home of the Innocents that will be staffed with doctors, nurses a social worker and more to address abuse and neglect in Louisville kids.
The hospital system asked the community to send cards over the past few weeks.
Doctors said the playground will allow patients to have more fun while providing necessary treatment and research opportunities.
Last year, Norton Children’s received 10,600 Valentines and more than 1,700 stuffed animals.

Women in the program receive prenatal care at Norton Women's Specialists downtown practices and deliver the babies at Norton Hospital.
