Jefferson County’s COVID-19 incidence rate climbed slightly this week, up to 43.8 new coronavirus cases per 100,000 residents based on a seven-day rolling average as of Monday. 

Now that the FDA and CDC have approved the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5 to 11, the race to make an appointment is on. 

Some are wondering if it's OK to mix vaccine types.

Most locations say they have plenty of tests available, but those seeking one may have to find a location outside of their general area.

The FDA gave the treatment emergency use authorization, but doctors say it is not a replacement for the vaccine. 

The governor said the hope is to get all adult Kentuckians who want the shot their first dose by the end of May.
