Police in Kentucky and Indiana are investigating multiple threats on social media against local schools this week.
Jeffersonville Police said texts to a parent from a Parkview Middle School student that the school was on lockdown were false.
Jeffersonville City Council voted to rezone 46 acres at East Highway 62 and Utica Sellersburg Road for a new school. The council rejected a similar proposal last year.
No weapons were found and the threats were found to not be credible.
The district says it made the decision after getting feedback from the community and the city.
The district has a different plan to build the new school at the former Twilight Golf Course and its surrounding land.

The decision comes just a few weeks after plans to purchase a different piece of land fell through.
The district wanted to rezone 26 acres of land on Utica-Sellersburg Road and New Chapel Road to relocate and rebuild Parkview Middle School.
The district hosted a community meeting on Thursday night to discuss ideas and the process.
