It is unknown at this time if the school will be back in session on Friday.
There's also been reports of downed trees in the area.
The Louisville Fire Department was called to monitor the spill Monday morning.
Crews in Kentucky and Indiana were working to restore power to thousands of customers after powerful storms moved through the area Sunday night into Monday morning.
As of 4 p.m. Thursday, an estimated 5,052 LG&E/KU customers without power in Jefferson County, according to the utility company's online outage map.
Some were working off Dixie Highway, near the intersection of Maryman Road and Nancy Lane, on Tuesday.
LG&E said some customers may not have power restored until Wednesday night.
LG&E and KU are asking customers to help it conserve energy as the extreme cold puts pressure on the regional power grid.
As of 4:30 p.m. Friday, an estimated 1,013 customers were without power in Kentucky.
A spokesperson for Duke Energy said the outage was caused by a "substation issue."
