Those arrested ranged in ages from 18 to 60, and four were charged with rioting in the first degree. Other charges included assault, failure to disperse and assault.

The law defines first-degree rioting as knowingly participating in a riot that causes injury to a person who is not rioting, or causes substantial property damage.

Louisville Metro Police Department has accused Scott of being among protesters who caused damage to several locations, including the main branch of the Louisville Free Public Library. 

Police said Theodore Johnson IV and Anthony Talbert-Russell were part of a crowd that blocked a driver's car at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at 6th and Liberty Streets.
