The skate park will be built right next to City Hall on Conestoga Parkway.

The trees will provide a refuge from the heat for skaters in the warmer months.

A total of five people were shot along North Clay Street about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

LMPD said investigators believe those involved in Sunday’s shooting were not park regulars.
