LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- St. Xavier High School hosted two high-profile high school basketball games on Friday night.
Reigning state champion Sacred Heart opened the doubleheader against fellow girls contender George Rogers Clark. The Valkyries continued their in-state dominance with a 61-49 victory.
Following that, St. X squared off with DeSales in what turned out to be a thriller. The Tigers edged the Colts 81-72.
Elsewhere, it was a rivalry night out on Dixie Highway. The Butler boys took care of Pleasure Ridge Park 62-49 while the Fairdale boys went to Holy Cross and left with a 76-57 win.
