LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Cyclists got some new views around Louisville for an annual Kentucky Derby ride.
The Kentucky Derby Festival's Tour de Lou was held Sunday morning. There were three rides, ranging from 20 miles to 35 miles to 62.1 miles.Â
After starting in NuLu, cyclists rode through Churchill Downs and finished back in NuLu. Candace Sarber, Dawn Mader and Jennifer Campbell traveled from Dayton, Ohio after learning about the race last year.
"Who wouldn't want to come to Churchill Downs," Sarber said.
Riders passed through some of Louisville's parks, historic spots and other attractions, like downtown Louisville and Old Louisville.
"It's really cool to be a part of this," Campbell said. "It's fun to see all the different areas of Louisville, all the different boroughs."Â
All participants who finished the race received a commemorative medal. It was the first time all cyclists who finished received a medal.Â
