LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Racing Louisville FC lost to Kansas City 4-2 Saturday night at CPKC Stadium.
Racing Louisville fell behind three goals in the opening 19 minutes and couldn't recover. The visitors trimmed their deficit to one goal in the second half, but couldn't find an equalizer.
Racing Louisville's four-match unbeaten run away from Lynn Family Stadium ended with the loss.
“For us, it was almost a tale of two halves,” Racing Louisville coach head coach Bev Yanez said. “I think (in the) first half we lost a little bit and veered a little bit away from who we are and our identity and what’s been very successful for us the past five games. … It was very challenging to be that many goals down that early at Kansas City. Came in at half (and) talked a lot about character and this being a big moment for us."
Racing Louisville (5-5-2) will play the Orlando Pride at Lynn Family Stadium Friday.
