LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Terrence Edwards Jr., the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year who led James Madison to a 32-4 record and the NCAA Tournament in 2024, has committed to Louisville after a campus visit with new coach Pat Kelsey, according to a report from Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman.

Edwards, a 6-foot-6-inch swingman from Atlanta, led the Dukes in scoring at 17.2 points per game and led the team in assists with 123. His 4.4 rebounds were third-best on the roster. He shot 42% from the field and 32.3% from 3-point range.

As a sophomore, Edwards won the Sun Belt’s Sixth Man of the Year Award in voting by coaches.

Edwards, who also visited Florida State, is the third new addition to Louisville’s roster in five days. Kelsey added Charleston players Reyne Smith, a 6-foot-2-inch guard, and James Scott, a 6-foot-11-inch center, last week.

Kelsey has plenty of roster spots to fill. The team has had every scholarship player from last year's 8-24 squad enter the transfer portal, though several have said they could return.
