The Kroger Co. said it will limit the number of customers in its grocery stores during the pandemic.

The company said that it will use a technology that uses infrared and “predictive analytics” to limit store capacity to one person per 120 square feet.
Kroger Chairman and CEO Rodney McMullen said the requirement went into effect Sunday, according to a news release emailed to customers.
No mask? No service. That’s the stance that the nation’s top grocery store union wants grocers like Kroger, Walmart, Whole Foods and Trader Joes adopt until the coronavirus pandemic ends.
